Below ground spa removal

Got an unused below ground spa that is taking up space?

Unfortunately, they aren’t valuable any more. It’s too much effort to re-locate them, they can’t be moved within the backyard, are difficult to repair and usually have a lot less jets than new models.

Gumtree usually has half a dozen listed for free (you remove). It takes a good day of digging to get them out in one piece (if you know what you are doing) and it’s easy to wreck it in the process. Cabinet spas have taken their place.

We cut them up and take them to the tip. If any pumps, heaters, controllers ect can be refurbished for sale, it will lower our quoted price for removal. We remove all the rubbish associated with the spa itself.

We sometimes remove glass or aluminium fencing, generally don’t remove limestone retaining walls, definitely don’t fill in the hole or repave the area.

If it has gas connected or hardwired electrical cable (i.e no plug) , you need to arrange and pay for an electrician or plumber to disconnect. Turning off the gas valve isn’t disconnection, it needs to be plugged. If the electrician disconnects the power at the meter box and leaves any cabling behind, it needs to properly tagged with “disconnected” and their licence number.

To accurately quote you, we need:

Your suburb, a photo of the spa and a photo of the heater pumps etc.

If the path access is any narrower than vehicle width, we need the measurement of the smallest gap, plus a series of photos of the path to the road (try to keep it in logical sequence). This path width determines how small the spa needs to be cut.
